DELIGHTFUL NEWS! 'LOL(Lots of Love)' and Protein Dance have been nominated for three awards at the 12th National Dance Awards in the 'Best Modern Choreography' 'Best Independent Company' and 'Outstanding Female Performance' categories
I was away in October with Moti Roti's 'Journeys of Love', which played at The Melbourne Festival and then at The National Museum in Singapore.
The CD release of 'LOL'(lots of love) is a unique collection of tracks from the show but with new material collected during the reasearch phase of LOL by Luca Silvestrini. Luca collected recordings of interviews with people about how electronic communication had impacted on their lives. But he also asked for anecdotes and stories. This material is now mixed in with the original music to create this CD release.

'Ringside' is by Mem Morrison and I have created the soundscore and music for this unusual piece which will be touring again in 2011. The audience wear headphones throughout the performance, which explores Mem's experiences of Turkish Cypriot weddings. There are new audio clips on the listen page and on the photolisten page. Having sold out at last years Edinburgh festival (where it received 5 star reviews) Ringside toured Asia and Australia in March 2010
'SALT' was a large site-specific piece commissioned by the Ruhr Festival in Essen, Germany.
'Bird Song' is now on the national curriculum having been chosen as one of the set pieces to study for GCSE dance. The DVD of Bird Song is now available along with various other resources for teachers here. There is an excellent overview of the piece here and an online archive here.
